Alan G. Hassenfeld has been Chairman of the Executive Committee of Hasbro's Board of Directors since May 2008, following his service as Chairman of the Board from 2003 to 2005 and non-executive chair, 2005 to 2008. Mr. Hassenfeld worked his way up the ranks of the Hasbro business started in 1923 by his grandfather. Mr. Hassenfeld's selected philanthropic commitments include: Chairman of the World Scholar Athlete Games and an active leader in rallying corporate executives to work with elected officials to end childhood hunger. Mr. Hassenfeld is a board member of salesforce.com and co-chair of the governing body of the ICTI CARE Process and serves as the Chief Advisor to the China Toy Association. Involved with many of the nation's leading academic institutions, Mr. Hassenfeld is a trustee at the University of Pennsylvania and Bryant University. He is a member of the Dean's Council at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, the Board of Overseers of the Brown University Medical School, and the University of Rhode Island's College of Business Administration's Hall of Fame.
