Deadline for Financial Grant Submissions: Now Closed
Musicians Institute, College of Contemporary Music and Relief International have joined forces to provide music education grants. The Jam for Japan initiative ensures that young people in Sendai City and Minamisanriku Town (Miyagi Prefecture), Kamaishi City and Otsuchi Town (Iwate Prefecture), and Minami-Soma City (Fukushima Prefecture) continue their music education and restore a sense of normalcy in their lives after the devastating earthquake. Grants of up to $5,000 USD will be awarded to musicians and eligible institutions with music programs.
Jam for Japan music education grants will be awarded to schools and individuals based on need and merit, and will not discriminate on the basis of genre or style of music pursued. Schools may apply directly and/or nominate individual students for financial support to continue their studies in music.
