In 2017, more than 68 million people were on the move due to conflict and disaster, which means Relief International was, too. Thanks to your contributions, our teams deployed within hours to meet people fleeing violence, chronic poverty and natural disaster where they landed. As you’ll read in our 2017 Annual Report, our emergency response teams provided life-saving support to Rohingya refugees, survivors of Iran’s earthquake and people fleeing South Sudan’s brutal civil war.
Today, protracted conflict and climate change, among other issues, continue to displace millions. That much hasn’t changed. Neither has our commitment to deliver immediate relief and long-term development in fragile settings where the needs are greatest.
By taking a look back, we can see the tangible gains your support helped make in the lives of the 5 million people served by RI last year, and the work that still needs to be done.
