Relief International has partnered with UNICEF since the autumn of 2013 to provide water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) resources to 2,000 Syrian refugee households in the Darashakran Camp. RI’s programs mobilize the camp community to take ownership of WASH resources and infrastructure, educating and empowering them to maintain proper operation of the facilities and equitable access to residents. Called "Minor Fixing," this signature program is carried out by refugee-led WASH committees established and trained by RI. RI also educates local beneficiaries on hygiene and sanitation through widespread messaging, and monitors and tests water quality. Read more about Minor Fixing and the people who make it possible.
