Context.

Climate change is dramatically impacting our world. Vulnerable populations with whom RI partners, often lack the resources to prepare for, mitigate, and adapt to climate change; they will bear the brunt of its fallout. Worst impacted will be RI communities experiencing armed conflict and the ensuing governance breakdown. Often, RI is among a handful of organizations providing assistance to remote and highly vulnerable communities.  RI invests in four broad program sectors: Health and Nutrition; Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH); Livelihoods; and Education. About the opportunity

The European Accounting and Administration Manager will work for MRCA-RI France, be based in France, report to the Global Director of Accounting and Finance and work closely with the Global Accounting Manager, the Regional Finance Managers, and Financial Planning and Analysis and HR teams.

 

As a member of the global Finance team will work on all aspects of financial accounting with particular responsibility for producing financial statements that are in compliance with French accounting regulations and bring a deep understanding of the French accounting standards, including the Plan Compatible General (PCG). In addition to the PCG, the European Accountant will also need to be familiar with IFRS and GAAP.  Responsibilities will also include accounting for RI Europe.

 

The European Accounting and Administration Manager will implement HR administration and record-keeping as required and as directed by the Chief HR Officer, provide an office management service and liaise with the French operational administration; and ensure health and safety compliance as required.

As a key member of the Global Program Development team, you will be dedicated to building high impact programming, by winning humanitarian and development bids. You will liaise with institutional donors, to identify future funding opportunities, and ensure high quality proposals prior to donor submission.

The Program Development team is based across our global support offices in Washington DC and London, and supports RI Country Offices by helping them to design high-quality programs, and by raising funds and implementing then. You will thrive in an entrepreneurial senior team dedicated to building high-impact programming

Travel
