Global Program Development Manager

The Program Development Manager (PDM) –is critical in bringing significant impact and opportunity of funding to our country programs. You will thrive in an entrepreneurial senior team dedicated to building high-impact programming.   Your creative and relentless approach to driving results that will fuel RI’s strategy and impact.

The PDM role is to work collaboratively with the Regional Directors and Regional Program Directors, country teams and with a direct senior-level reporting to the Head of Program Development. Responsible for donor engagement and capture management (approximately 30%) and managing and/or assisting in proposal development (approximately 70%).

As a key member of the global Program Development team is dedicated to building high impact programming by raising income from institutional donors (like the USAID, FCDO, EC, GAC and the UN) as well as bilateral donors (like French MOFA, GFFO and SDC).  The Program Development team is based across our global support office in Washington and London and supports RI Country Offices by helping them to design high-quality programs, and by raising funds from institutional donors needed to implement them. You will thrive in an entrepreneurial senior team dedicated to building high-impact programming

Reporting to the Head of Program Development, your role will be supporting country teams and will be key in leading in donor liaison and engagement and capture management. A large proportion of your time will be supporting country teams in proposal development.

Chief Program Officer

Working closely and reporting to the CEO, the Chief Program Officer serves as the leader of the Programs Development, Quality, and Surge Support (PDQS)  Department, focused on setting the standards and metrics for global program excellence in the project management cycle This is a relatively new role within RI and the CPO will be leading a seasoned, professional team and working with the team and the Senior Management Team (SMT) to rollout RI’s updated strategy. This position is part of the SMT.

The department includes the following teams: program development and design; technical excellence in RI’s core sectors; MEAL, and surge support including humanitarian/emergency response.  The department is also responsible for internal and external learning and representation leadership in cross cutting themes and strategic areas – core humanitarian standards, climate change/environment, conflict, communities at the center, nexus work, gender, protection mainstreaming, and cash programming.
