Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Manager- BHA is the overall lead for the South Sudan’s Humanitarian Integrated Response in Upper Nile (HIRUN) project. The BHA Project Manager will oversee all aspects of the project to ensure quality implementation and coordination within the HIRUN consortium. The roles and responsibilities will include but not limited to program planning, quality and progress monitoring, and budget management, reporting, human resource planning and management, and risk management. The PM will manage all aspects of the Partnership with ALIGHT, and will represent the organisation at selected external forums. The PM will be expected to actively contribute to the program design and development in South Sudan. The role will work in close collaboration with the Health and Nutrition Advisor, Nutrition Manager and other key departments.
The Regional Employee Relations Manager will support the Regional HR Manager (RHRM) and the HR Team in providing and upholding high quality and timely HR service for the global organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring that RI’s employees are supported, valued and empowered within our humanitarian work culture. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining positive employee relations within the organization and region, as well as support, develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with RI’s humanitarian mission. You will also oversee recruitment, selection and retention of employees to ensure that RI has the right talent and diverse workforce that can operate in a variety of settings. This while working closely with colleagues in the Global, Regional and Country office HR Teams.
Relief International (RI) currently seeks a dynamic Program Manager (PM) for a multi sector program funded by DG ECHO. The PM will be responsible for all aspects of program management including but not limited to planning and executing activities, budget management, reporting, staff management and capacity development as well as local authority and donor relationship management. The PM reports directly to the Deputy Country Director Programs with strong regular engagement with other key teams such as Grants and Wards, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations and Area Managers.
The PHAST Consortium, it is an ambitious consortium program with two partners, which aim to strengthen the overall Health and Protection systems in northwest Syria by supporting several health facilities to provide lifesaving health and nutrition services to vulnerable communities. In addition to the Health Component, specialized protection services are provided at women and girls’ safe spaces (WGSS), including gender-based violence (GBV) case management, psychosocial support, life skills, Child Protection and outreach activities.
PHAST Consortium MEAL Manager will strengthen the analytical capacity of consortium partners and will improve the quality of Consortium products and policy briefing papers, analyzing humanitarian trends, programming needs and the context where the consortium operates.
The Consortium MEAL Manager will coordinate the gathering of information generated by consortium partners and will analyze and identify key needs and programming trends within the context. This will be done in close coordination with consortium partners program teams, Consortium Management Unit and RI’s Advocacy and Comms Manager, under the overall supervision of the Chief of Party.

The Country Director will ensure strong leadership of all members of the RI Country Team that builds team spirit, cohesion, motivation, commitment, quality performance and fulfilment of all agency functions. He/she is directly responsible for the overall strategic planning, program design and implementation, program support operations (security, HR, procurement, logistics), country-level external relations and coordination, finance and budget compliance, administration, monitoring and evaluation, staff supervision, and required reporting on grants. He/she will ensure that programs meet stated objectives, are in line with RI’s philosophy and strategy, meet the needs of beneficiaries, and are implemented to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. The CD will lead humanitarian response to the ongoing conflict in Sudan, fundraising, identifying and pursuing new program opportunities. The CD will continually assess, identify and address gaps and weaknesses so as to improve overall country program performance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
The CD is the primary link between the country team and Regional Support Office or team (RSO) and Global Support Office (GSO). He/she will build and maintain a close, collaborative and responsive relationship and frequent communications with the Regional Director as his/her direct supervisor and key link to global support services.
As a member of the Middle East Regional Team, you will be home-based with availability to deploy at short notice to any of RI’s countries in the region, including remote and insecure locations, according to RI strategic priorities. The majority of deployment assignments will be for a Country Director role to fill gap in coverage (ie, between CD-ships, maternity leave, extended medical leave, etc). While priority will be as gap-filling for Country Director role, other leadership roles may also be filled as needed, including but not limited to: Deputy Country Director, Program Director, Program Manager, etc. Gap filling at regional level and/or leadership in the start- up of new country missions and/or large-scale projects will also be required if needed. The Roving Country Director is a strategic role in ensuring continuity in management, mobilization and effective scale up and quality of RI programs in the region. The Roving Country Director will be part of the regional team and participate in internal coordination meetings and other region-driven initiatives as relevant when not on deployment assignment. It is anticipated that this position will be deployed up to 80% of the year.
*Note: in case of multiple CD vacancies in RI’s other region (Africa/Asia), the Roving Country Director may be requested exceptionally to gap-fill for a post in RI’s Africa/Asia region.
Reporting to the Regional Director for the Middle East, the Country Director is responsible for the Syria mission overall, including high-level representation, fundraising and program development, strategic planning, risk management, program quality, administrative processes, security, and all other aspects of the mission vital to ensure the health of the mission. The Country Director must be extremely dynamic, maintain the ability to work on both macro/ strategic and micro/ detail-oriented issues simultaneously, and have strong communication skills in order to work effectively with internal actors at all levels of the organization and external actors including but not limited to donors, government institutions, U.N. agencies, partners and other key stakeholders. Experience working in the Syria crisis or relevant transferrable skills from other complex multi-country mission contexts is highly preferred.
