Relief International has operated continuously inside Sudan’s Zamzam camp since 2006, relying on our strong relationships with the camp’s residents to tackle issues facing the community.
Dr. Wali joined Relief International in 2006 as a Health Coordinator at the height of the Darfur crisis. Over the past 15 years, he has served in progressively senior roles and now oversees the program as Sudan Country Director.
Two years after a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Kermanshah, an agricultural region in western Iran, nearly 5,000 people are still unable to return to their homes. The biggest challenge has come, not during the immediate response, but in the lengthy reconstruction efforts that have followed since.
