In an ever-changing world, Relief International’s work as a humanitarian and development organization is more important than ever. The fragile settings where we operate are marked by recurrent man-made or natural crises that impede human development. It’s not our style to parachute in, distribute supplies, and depart for the next crisis. The fragile communities where we work require our long-term commitment.

Relief International has worked continuously for a decade or more in 11 of the 16 fragile settings where we operate. Our long-standing history in these countries is part of why we are well-respected and trusted by members of the local population, peer organizations, and governments. Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Adviser

The DRR Advisor will provide technical leadership to all Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) components of an upcoming education project in Bangladesh, including the design and quality assurance of DRR interventions. The position will bring expertise in both community-based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR) and overall disaster preparedness, with a focus on the education environment. The Humanitarian Program Manager will oversee daily program operations and coordination of all aspects of Relief International’s programming in Cox’s Bazar. Regional Program Officer

JORDAN

The Middle East Regional Program Officer (RPO) will support Program Management in the region and be responsible for grants management backstopping for the Middle East portfolio. As member of the Middle East Regional Support Office (RSO), the Regional Program Officer works with the Regional Program Director to provide ongoing support to country program teams and ensure coordination with the Awards Management Unit (AMU) and other departments at the Global Support Office (GSO). The RPO will also liaise with regional and global team members to ensure that RI is accurately and promptly complying with donor requests related to reporting management.

This position will undertake key tasks and deliverables for the Middle East program portfolio, currently consisting of humanitarian and development programs in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Yemen, as required and assigned to, by the Middle East Regional Program Director. Periodic field travel will be expected, to provide direct support, gap filling, monitoring and in response to humanitarian crisis.
