The Country Director (CD) will ensure strong leadership of all members of the RI Country Team that builds team spirit, cohesion, motivation, commitment, quality performance and fulfillment of all agency functions. The CD is directly responsible for the overall strategic planning, program design and implementation, program support operations (security, HR, procurement, logistics), country-level external relations and coordination, finance and budget compliance, administration, monitoring and evaluation, staff supervision, and required reporting on grants. The CD will ensure that programs meet stated objectives, are in line with RI’s philosophy and strategy, meet the needs of beneficiaries, and are implemented to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. The CD will lead in obtaining funding, and identifying and pursuing new program opportunities. The CD will continually assess, identify and address gaps and weaknesses so as to improve overall country program performance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
The CD is the primary link between the country team and Regional Support Office or team (RSO) and Global Support Office (GSO). He/she will build and maintain a close, collaborative and responsive relationship and frequent communications with the Regional Director as his/her direct supervisor and key link to global support services.
This position will be primarily responsible for identifying and leading development of new initiatives, donor pre-positioning, including leading design and lead writing concept notes and proposals in coordination with the Country Office, the Regional and Global Support Offices.
Relief International (RI) and it’s implementing partners aim to strengthen the overall health system in Northwest Syria by supporting health facilities to provide lifesaving health and nutrition services to vulnerable communities. The interventions will be guided by a robust monitoring framework built on RI and its implementing partners’ experience operating in the Syrian context, leveraging each organization’s operational presence and networks to deliver essential services to conflict-affected communities through a coordinated and integrated approach. RI and its partners also provide specialized protection services through women and girls’ safe spaces (WGSS), gender-based violence (GBV) case management, psychosocial support, life skills, and outreach activities. The Finance Manager will directly report to the Deputy CoP and technical line to the Whole of Syria Finance Manager (WoS FM). He/she will support the DCoP in overseeing the project finances, donor reporting, monthly and quarterly donor forecast, ensuring budget vs. actuals are updated, expenses belonging to the project are charged to the correct budget codes, lead the project-specific audits in collaboration with WoS FM, conduct monthly/quarterly financial visits of partners, organize and present formal reports to DCoP and WoS FM. Moreover, this position will ensure day-to-day collaboration and coordination with the Hub-based Finance Manager for any matters related to project finances.
PHAST Consortium Management Unit (CMU) – including the Finance Manager – maintains collaborative/coordination linkages with RI and its implementing partners’ focal points in Turkey and RI WoS for the functions of (M&E, Finance, Safety and Security, HR, operations, Management, Protection, and Communication and Advocacy) defined in the organogram.

RI currently seeks a dynamic Health and Nutrition Technical Advisor to support our health and nutrition portfolio. The Health and Nutrition Technical Advisor will provide timely and adequate technical support to Africa/Asia Region Health and Nutrition portfolio in Sudan, South Sudan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Philippine, Pakistan and Bangladesh including guidance on overall health program design, health assessments, medical supplies/ pharmaceutical procurements, fund-raising, project monitoring and evaluation, and quality monitoring and improvement. The capacity building of country office technical staff will be an integrated component of his/her work. This position requires an individual who is used to the pace of emergency response programming, has a broad understanding of public health programming in fragile settings, and is flexible and highly responsive.

Relief International is looking for a Fundraising Officer to join its high performing, growing philanthropy team. Reporting to the Philanthropy Director (USA) you will work closely with the team to support cultivation of mid-level and major donor relationships, including through the planning and execution of an events programme, as well as through other agreed activities.
Building on our existing events programme you will design (with support from the Philanthropy and Communications team), plan and execute dynamic and engaging events to include both in person and virtual audiences. These will include small dinners / lunches and receptions in the UK & USA, our regular webinar series and a donor country visit in 2024.
In addition to your events oversight, you will manage a portfolio of mid-level donors. You will steward and cultivate these donor relations to ensure year on year giving and uplift in giving where appropriate.
You will be highly organized, able to manage multiple work streams and projects and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You’ll be persuasive and able to work with people at different levels of the organization and from different country offices.

RI currently seeks a dynamic Food Security and Livelihood Advisor to support and strengthen RI FSL portfolio in the Middle East. The FSL Advisor will support programs across the Middle East Region to be attractive to multiple donors and take into account the fragile setting conditions and humanitarian development nexus. The FSL Advisor will work closely with the Regional Program Director, Country Offices and Global Livelihood Director to define the RI regional sectorial strategy and provide guidelines, capacity building, technical support for the design, implementation and monitoring of RI FSL interventions.
This position requires an individual who is abreast of various programmatic and strategic opportunities in the sector within the ME and who can actively contribute to identify opportunities to increase the resilience of target groups and communities taking into consideration also disaster risk and climate change vulnerabilities.
